Former NBL rookie of the year Isaac Humphries is now an NBA player signing a 10-day contract with the Atlanta Hawks.

Also the NBL have announced the 3x3 Pro Hustle will be broadcast live on Fox Sports.

The broadcast times for the NBL 3x3 Pro Hustle are:

Melbourne Showgrounds – 2:30pm-5:00pm, Sunday March 31, FOX SPORTS 507

Geelong Waterfront – 2:30pm-5:00pm, Sunday April 14, FOX SPORTS

Darwin Convention Centre – 2:30pm-5:00pm, Sunday April 28, FOX SPORTS

All three events will also be broadcast live in New Zealand on Sky Sport, PPTV in China, Starhub in Singapore, Videoland in Taiwan, Astro in Malaysia and in the UAE on Abu Dhabi Media.

Even more news today the Sydney Kings have announced they've re-signed Brad Newley to a 2 year contract.

Yet more announcements the Sydney Kings have re-signed Kevin Lisch to a multi-year deal and have also picked up the options on Daniel Kickert & Tom Wilson for next season.

The NBL free-agency period opens today and the first signing is South-East Melbourne Phoenix signing former Breakers forward Tai Wesley to a 3 year deal made more interesting for the fact that the local player eligibility rules have changed meaning the Guam born Wesley has to play an import now too.

The Sydney Kings today announced the signing of local big Jordan Hunter a 6'10" centre straight out of St. Mary's College to a 3 year deal.

Also Basketball Australia have announced the Boomers will play two World Cup warm-up games against Canada at RAC Arena in Perth on the 16th & 17th August before the two WC warm-up games against the USA on August 22 & 24 at Marvel Stadium in Melbourne.

As well the South-East Melbourne Phoenix have signed former United big man Dan Trist to a 2 year deal. He was removed from the playing roster late last season when United signed Venky Jois and he is currently finishing the season in Spain.

Not a great day for the 36ers losing Majok Deng and now confirmed Nathan Sobey has signed a 3 year deal with the Brisbane Bullets and is currently finishing the season in France.

Sydney Kings guard Tom Wilson has decided to quit basketball and switch to the AFL. He has yet to decide which club to join but is believed to have 3 year offers on the table from Collingwood and Geelong.

Also the Illawarra Hawks have announced the signing of guard Sunday Dech to a 2 year deal. Dech spent time with Perth this season as an injury replacement player and prior to that played college ball in the US at Metro State and Barry University.
