Too late now you corrupt kents!

He was carrying on like a pork chop but didn't deserve to be ejected. At least good to see the league office admit that.

After reviewing the Round 7 game between the Illawarra Hawks and Adelaide 36ers, the NBL has determined that the ejection of Jacob Wiley was an incorrect decision.

The player should not have received two technical fouls, and instead should have been assessed as a single technical foul for his role in the incident.

Wiley was ejected from the game at the 6:37 mark of the second quarter after receiving two technical fouls.

New NBL team South East Melbourne Phoenix have announced a partnership with AFL club Hawthorn FC to share their admin services and management.

The NBL’s newest team has decided to enter the league with guidance from one of Australia’s most prominent sporting franchises.

The South East Melbourne Phoenix have formed a strategic partnership with Hawthorn FC, with the AFL club expected to provide the new NBL team a shared service model for all financial, human resource, and IT management.

The decision doesn’t involve any ownership stake; instead, the strategic decision being put in place is there to bolster what the Phoenix’s management hopes will be a community-focused franchise.

In the continued fallout from Sunday's Hawks vs 36ers game David Andersen has been charged with unduly rough play in an incident with Nathan Sobey.

The NBL Game Review Panel has completed its review of round seven of the 2018/19 Hungry Jack’s NBL Season.

In reviewing the Illawarra vs Adelaide game last Sunday, Illawarra’s David Andersen was charged with unduly rough play as a result of an incident with Adelaide’s Nathan Sobey during the third quarter.

The contact was judged to be intentional, high and low impact. Andersen has been suspended for one game down to a $1,000 fine if he accepts an early guilty plea.

Andersen has until Friday to accept an early plea or face the tribunal. Nathan Sobey was found to have no case to answer.

It's official now the SE Melbourne Phoenix have announced the signing of former 36ers captain Mitch Creek.

South East Melbourne Phoenix has announced Australian Boomer Mitch Creek as its first marquee signing.

Creek is currently playing with the Long Island Nets in the NBA G-League after trialling with the Brooklyn Nets in the NBA.

The 26-year old played for the Adelaide 36ers between 2010 and 2018 and was a member of the Boomers’ 2017 Asian Cup winning team.

Although he played 197 games for the 36ers, it was the lure of returning home to Victoria that really resonated with the Horsham born and raised Creek.

A bit of a funny situation towards the end of last night's Kings vs Wildcats game during a stoppage late in the game Perth players huddled receiving instructions from coach Trevor Gleeson and as it wasn't an official timeout Andrew Bogut went over and tried to listen in and was pushed away by Gleeson. For his efforts Trevor Gleeson has been fined $500 but probably deserved a tech.

Agreed I don't think I've ever seen that before though I've seen a coach strangling one of his own players but never seen a coach put his hands on an opposition player before.

Still there was nothing in it Bogut was being a smartarse and Gleeson was being Gleeson, Move on. Still looked funny though
