Hard to judge after one game but Wiley looked athletic but don't think he has a jump shot. May get away with it at this level but think teams will figure him out. Deleon will give good energy off the bench but will frustrate you at times. Think we're mid table at the moment and a fair way behind Melbourne and Sydney (if they dont implode like kings teams in the past)

I'm probably a little bit more optimistic I thought it was a pretty good effort against a veteran Perth team who reloaded in the off-season. It was a shame we couldn't go on with it after coming back from 15 down at one point but if we had have gotten a bit more out of Moore & Drmic we probably get over the line.

I thought Ramone Moore was disappointing I wish he would play more like he did against the Jazz dictating terms going to the hole and backing guys down he's got the talent but just not the kind of player to do it consistently prefers to coast.

Despite the obvious nervousness I liked what Wiley brought to the table 13p & 9r and he looks like he can play a lot better than that too maybe not much of an outside shot but he will be hard for teams to contain with his energy and raw athleticism.

I'm really looking forward to seeing how we go against the Kings tomorrow do we drop our heads up against 'the favourites' or do we put last night behind us and power on.

I don't think I've ever seen 4OT in any basketball league

Amazing game

I’ve jumped on the Breakers to beat Melbourne on Sunday 11+ at $9.50
Four overtime’s, travel back from the US and travel from Illawarra

I'd nearly put the house on Perth to beat Illawarra in Perth on Sunday too.

In his defence we did lose to Spain by 1 point in the bronze medal game at the last Olympics the closest we've ever come to a medal so I think he's safe as Boomers coach but yes returning to the NBL with the Bullets he's been woeful. He was out coached last night by a guy coaching in his first game.

A lot to like about Melo Trimble for Cairns though.

Great news for the NBL drawing the highest attendance for an opening round in history with 48,820 beating the previous record set in 1995.
