Good effort tonight Goulding was great but the USA have a bit too much depth.

USA 102 (Walker 23, Turner 15, Mitchell 13, Kuzma 12, Brown 11, Tatum 11) def Australia 86 (Goulding 19, Mills 19, Dellavedova 10, Landale 10)

Can't stand Goulding personality wise but he usually does pretty well for the national team.

End result was about as expected. I feel for all those who paid $300+ to sit in a crappy plastic chair and look up at the court

Overnight the Boomers lost a practice game to Germany 74-64 in China. Information is scarce no top scorers announced supposedly Patty Mills & Aron Baynes didn't play after quarter-time, Landale didn't play at all and Bogut tweaked his ankle late in the game.

Would like to see us win this (obviously) comfortably.

Lost by 20 ish recently to them and I would like to think we are far more cohesive now.

I don't think that was a true indication of anything we beat them by 8 points in the next game, we looked like a rabble in that first game.

In saying that if we lose this game it will become pretty difficult to see us advancing to the second round.

We have often made life difficult for ourselves in worlds, olympics etc by dropping a pool game and getting harder finals opponents.

Anyone else think it was odd to take on another team from your group in practice games so close?

You see as much of them as they see of you.

That said sometimes you have to organise these things well in advance, maybe before the pool draw was done.
