The Illawarra Hawks have announced they've signed import Darington Hobson as an injury replacement for Aaron Brooks. Hobson is a 6'7" swingman who played a few games for the Milwaukee Bucks in the 2011-12 season and played in Italy last season.

After allowing him to re-join the team for Friday night's game in Cairns the NZ Breakers have now sacked import Glen Rice Jr. for breaching his bail conditions after being picked up by police last night.

Also the Illawarra Hawks have signed import Billy Preston as an injury replacement for Sam Froling. The 6'10" PF has been playing in the G-League.
