I actually like it, no different to other animals and the fact it jumps high and is venemous makes sense to a basketball team. Sounds kind of cool too.
Mind you I'm a fan of the Mighty Ducks and played footy for the Shoes.

Not technically NBL news but Brett Brown has quit as Boomers coach.

He's cited uncertainty over his NBA coaching future as the reason.

I see that Will Weaver (Sydney head coach) is back in the USA having interviews for NBA jobs,

Unlikely to come back you would think.

Absolutely nothing I've never heard of him before. It was a bit weird the NBL never mentioned him as one of our top scorers (15 points) but probably because he's just a temporary fill in player.

Taylor still holds the record for field goal percentage for the league. Not bad for over 30 years ago and over a career that lasted about 70 games.

Also Indiana Pacers star Victor Oladipo is now a part-owner of the NZ Breakers buying into the consortium that owns the team and their home stadium.

Oladipo has never traveled to New Zealand but has promised to make at least one trip per year to Auckland where the team is based.

He said he first became interested in the league after watching American youngster LaMelo Ball play for the Illawarra Hawks last season and jumped at the opportunity to be part of it.

“I definitely think this league is growing, I know it’s growing,” Oladipo said. “It’s really competitive. I actually saw a few games when LaMelo was playing and I think it’s becoming a hot commodity.”
