We're playing with more purpose in the second half of this quarter though.

Not really unexpected I don't think. They've just come back from the US I'm not even sure if they came back to Adelaide but might've gone from the US straight to Sydney still working Randle in and most expect the Kings to be a Top 3 side and most had the Sixers finishing near the bottom at least prior to the Randle signing.

A really good effort by Melbourne this morning United had the lead at half time but the Clippers just had too much depth.
LA Clippers 118 (Harrell 22, Williams 16, Robinson 15, Walton 14, Beverley 11, Patterson 10, Zubac 10) def Melbourne 100 (Trimble 22, Long 17, Goulding 16)
Illawarra 89 (Blanchfield 20, Brooks 19, Ogilvy 19) def Cairns 88 (Newbill 26, Deng 17, Machado 14, Oliver 14)
Also there has been a couple of eyebrow raising assistant coaching resignations over the past few days. After their game against OKC on Friday Breakers assistant Michael Fitchett quit at the airport as the team were boarding the plane which would've made for an interesting flight back to NZ.
Tonight comes reports that Paul Henare has resigned from both of his positions as an assistant at Melbourne United and as the head coach of the Tall Blacks with speculation he's about to head to the NBA to join the Charlotte Hornets.

The South-East Melbourne Phoenix have announced the signing of temporary replacement import Jaye Crockett a 6'7" forward who played last season in France. Crockett is replacing the currently injured Tai Wesley on the roster and he and John Roberson are former college teammates too.
In an interesting decision NZ Breakers forward Thomas Abercrombie has signed a 1 year contract extension as he still had 2 years to run on his current contract he's now under contract to the club until 2022.
