A big choke job by Melbourne in Sydney tonight up 16 half way through the final quarter and found a way to lose.

The knock on them all season Trimble poor decision making at the point and both he and Long pad their numbers at the expense of the team.

I would expect a very different team at Melbourne next season.

Grand Final dates Sydney vs Perth starts this Sunday all games live on SBS Viceland & ESPN.

Game 1: Sunday 8 March at Qudos Bank Arena, 5:00pm AEDT

Game 2: Friday 13 March at RAC Arena, 6.30pm local/9:30pm AEDT

Game 3: Sunday 15 March at Qudos Bank Arena, 5:00pm AEDT

An NBL record 54,353 people attended the Semi-Finals games.

Also in other NBL news the NZ Breakers have re-signed veteran PG Jarrad Weeks to a 1 year deal and the team have also signed Chanel Pompallier as an assistant coach for next season.

A big coup for the 36ers signing 17 year old Josh Giddey as a Next Stars player for next season. The 6'8" PG is considered a possible first-round pick in the 2021 NBA Draft and is the son of former Melbourne Tigers veteran Warwick Giddey.

The Cairns Taipans have announced the signing of 17 year old Mojave King as their Next Stars signing for next season. The 6'5" PG like Giddey is viewed as a possible first round pick in the 2021 NBA Draft.
