You think he is a chance to be drafted? Perhaps been talked into nominating by a club?

I think he would be a real chance of being drafted even though it's said to be heavy with bigs this year you don't get 7'2"-7'3" guys with his range in the draft most years. He may have had an assurance from an NBA team they'll pick him or perhaps he and his agent think his stock is sky high after winning that Fans MVP award.

Is he an NBA talent right now? No, but the draft is all about potential and at his height with his shooting range the sky's the limit so I wouldn't be surprised if some team takes a flyer on him and maybe sends him to Europe to develop.

NBA teams scout the NBL much more now these days than they used to which is why Kai Sotto & Zhou Qi came here and why a number of young Euro guys signed on to be Next Stars. The NZ Breakers alone are expected to have two guys drafted, Ousmane Dieng (late 1st round) & Hugo Besson (early 2nd round).

Solid contributor.

Do they bank on Sotto not playing regardless of draft?

I don't know but it doesn't sound like Sotto intends to come back with the farewell post he made on social media.

Gil might rue not getting a Tassie team in sooner. NBL might be the hottest ticket in town

Dont follow the league real closely these days but can appreciate the magnitude of the Tassie result. Fingers crossed they can topple the violet crumbles.

A shame only game 2 is on FTA TV, but that's nothing particularly new.

Great game to watch. The JJ's live and die by the 3 pointer to some extent, jacked up a few iffy long range shots in the final minutes that didn't fall.
