The Illawarra Hawks have announced they've re-signed import Justin Robinson for next season. The 6'1" PG suffered a season ending injury in the Hawks opening game of the season and has previously played in the NBA with Washington, Oklahoma City, Milwaukee, Sacramento and Detroit.

Illawarra Hawks veteran Tim Coenraad has announced his retirement after 14 seasons with the Hawks. He initially retired in 2020 but came back as an injury replacement for Cam Bairstow and will play his 374th and final game against Tasmania at home on Saturday.

36ers CEO Nic Barbato says the club will conduct a full review in the off-season in light of this disappointing season with coach CJ Bruton a part of the review process.

“We can start thinking about what that will look like now and we’ll sit down and work through that with everyone at the end of the season — the coaching staff, players, structure — and see what we come out with,” Barbato said via Newscorp.

“CJ’s a great part of our club and we’re with him … we want him to be part of that whole process.”

NBL Finals start this Thursday with the Play-in games with Sydney and NZ Breakers already advancing to the Semi-Finals:

The winner of the Play-In advances to face the loser of the Seeding Qualifier, to determine who plays the Sydney Kings in Series 2 of the Playoffs.

The winner of the Seeding game will advance to Series 1 of the Playoffs against the New Zealand Breakers.

The Brisbane Bullets have announced the signing of their new coach Justin Schueller to a 2 year deal. He's been an assistant coach with Melbourne United for the past 6 years.

Also today Basketball Australia announced that Melbourne United coach Dean Vickerman will be filling in as Boomers coach for Brian Goorjian during the upcoming FIBA qualifiers against Bahrain Thursday february 23 and Kazakhstan on Sunday February 26 in Melbourne. 36ers assistant coach Jamie Pearlman has also been named as an assistant coach for the games.
