Plenty of planning has happened...but its still such a long time till it starts, plenty of chances for it to all fall apart :( :(

The 2019-20 NBA season went on hiatus on March 11 because of the coronavirus pandemic. On June 4, the NBA's Board of Governors approved a competitive format for the comeback of the 2019-20 season with 22 teams returning to play and a start date of July 30.

On June 26, the NBA and National Basketball Players Association finalized a comprehensive plan for a July 30 restart to the 2019-20 season, which includes stringent health and safety protocols, a single-site campus at Walt Disney World Resort in Florida and the goal of taking collective action to combat systemic racism and promote social justice.

Los Angeles Lakers point guard Rajon Rondo is expected to miss six to eight weeks after suffering a fractured right thumb, an injury that will require surgery.

Not a major loss in isolation, but when combined with Avery Bradley not going to the bubble, the bench is starting to look thinner

Not so fast......
Philadelphia 76ers forward Ryan Broekhoff said Sunday that he didn't travel with the team to Orlando, Fla., for the upcoming season restart because his wife tested positive for COVID-19.

No Goran...no Bam for game two...such a disappointing way to impact what could have been a really entertaining series....just think it was 41-40 when Dragic went out in Game 1.....now there's every chance we could see brooms :(

I did not know until Saturday that Sportsbet paid out on the Lakers before the first game. A little over $2 million.

Kind of hoping Miami can now do it.

And they get up by 11 so now down 1-2.

Very intense game at times with Butler just fantastic with a triple double.

Butler's Game 3 effort was one of the best individual Finals games...one of only three 40 point triple doubles ever (and only in a win)
And to help put it in context..Kelly Olynyk was again Miami's second leading scorer

As part of that Harden trade Cleveland have traded Dante Exum to Houston and the Cavs have waived Thon Maker.

Playoff time. Any thoughts on how it may play out?

Philadelphia v Washington (Sixers won game 1)
Brooklyn v Boston (hard to see the Nets dropping this)
Milwaukee v Miami (Bucks up 2-0 following big win in game 2)
New York v Atlanta (Hawks won narrowly in game 1)

Utah v Memphis (Grizzlies on a roll, 1-0 up)
Phoenix v La Lakers (Lakers favourites but Suns got opening win)
La Clippers v Dallas (Will the clippers disappoint per usual?)
Denver v Portland (hopefully the Blazers' late season form continues, series tied at 1-1)
SAFC- 60 years...
StKFC- 58 years..

Super proud of the Nuggs, lot of pressure on the Joker to be any sort of chance to beat a well oiled machine in the Suns, we no we won't see Murray but hopefully Barton can get back in as well as Dozier he was playing some good ball before his injury Barton gives us that something offensively I like when the ball is in his hands. Booker is in some sort of form so he needs to be stopped,Paul with the shoulder could be a plus for us if he only plays limited time. May the best team advanced.

Harden does a hammy in the first minute. No report on how long he will be out.

Despite that the Nets beat the Bucks to go one up.
