NBA is all about 3 point shooting and Philly just traded all their shooters except Reddick plus the ones they lost in the off season. Strange move. Won't change GSW winning it all anyway.

I think the bucks and nuggets are genuine chances this year. Good to see rockets struggling a bit.

Butler 28 points in his home debut for Philly, shot at 80%.
Sixers won by 6 points.
They're going to win so many more games with Butler. He looks like he's enjoying his basketball again.

I still don’t get the love for Philadelphia and find it equally bizarre how people support a player not a team. I couldn’t care less if every player on the Philly roster was Australian I still wouldn’t support them

Been following Philly since Dr J was there, how could anyone not love Philly watching Rocky run through its streets!
Having always followed unfashionable sides like Philly since the mid 80s I've always found it bizarre how people jump on the bandwagon of sides like New York, Manchester United, Norwood and Essendon. Different kettles of fish I suppose which shows the respective character of people. ;)

I wasn’t talking about you. I just hear every second Aussie say they are Philly fans these days. As for unfashionable sides that would be the Knicks, have won squat in my life time and probably won’t for the remainder of my life. Very definition of a rabble organisation [emoji17]
Throw my Redskins and Capitals into the equation aswell. The Capitals did finally taste glory last season after being a basket case forever though.

As for bandwagon supporters I was born and lived in the Norwood area as were generations of my family and I’d be a Carlton and Liverpool supporter as they were the ones winning everything as I was growing up

Geezus, I grew up in Glenelgs area, couldn't imagine following them! Would have been too easy to follow the same side as half the schools I went to!
Fair call about Liverpool, even my old man called Man U his 2nd side after the plane disaster in 1958.

I do appreciate what you're saying about Philly though, never saw a 76ers top in Adelaide besides mine until last year when they started popping up but it is mainly kids and who can blame them when they're seeing an Aussie be so good in the NBA for the first time ever. ( Not including Irving who most Aussies wouldn't even realise was born here).

I just find with the NBA more than any other sport that a lot of people tend to follow players rather than teams and I do find it bizarre.

That's pretty much spot on. Used to see plenty of Cleveland/Miami 'fans' around... Not too many these days for some reason.

Don’t think anyone doubts his ability, he is a very good player. It’s the baggage that comes with him that’s the issue.
