Seemed to be a bit of ego about NSW. Kept running at QLD thinking they were bigger and stronger and would eventually beat them into submission with their size. Their best was those few moments they got creative, offloading or swinging the ball out wide but they never persisted. QLD weren't great either. All those magnificent backline players and they hardly got the ball into the hands of Inglis. But they did what they needed to. Taking game 1 means you win about 80% of the time. Taking game 1 on enemy soil it's almost curtains. Daley to be replaced for next year, Gallen retiring and a new generation to try it all over again.
