I just watched the 2nd half of the game last night between Canberra and Wests and that was the most dominant display I've seen from the Raiders from years, a pleasure to watch!

I understand how they can sign, I simply cannot fathom how they make it very public. For instance, there is no doubt GAj signed with GC well before we all knew about it, officially, why cant they just keep it under their hat until the season is over.....or, are us Aussie rules fans/clubs the ones getting it wrong?

Anasta informed Roosters chairman Nick Politis today that he would be joining the Tigers next season, with the contract officially confirmed by the Tigers this afternoon.

The club had told their captain three weeks ago that he would have the remainder of this season to prove to them why he needed a contract extension, but it is understood the deal to leave was too good to ignore.

Pretty much the way the NRL works if you are out of contract at Seasons end you can have a new deal with another club during the season to be ready for next season.

Great second half by the Eels to upset the Sharks. Might save Kearney's bacon as the club had given him 2 weeks to get a win or else he would be sacked

Massive surprise Gallop quitting. They signed him to a 4 year deal just a few months ago and now suddenly he's gone with nobody apparently ready to step up. It seems farcical to me. How can someone be so perfect a few months ago you'd sign them to another 4 years and now they're so wrong they need to leave immediately? They don't even seem to have any idea who they're going to get to replace him. I'd have thought a position like that with someone who's been there so long they'd be working on a succession plan or when the end was approaching they'd announce he was leaving at the end of the season and spend the next few months replacing the guy.

All this during Origin time, with a crucial TV rights deal being sorted out it's hard to imagine a worse time. Something surely has happened here.
