Rugby League World Club Challenge 2013

Rugby League World Club Challenge 2013

Congratulations to the Melbourne Storm who beat my beloved Leeds Rhinos 18-14 this morning.
Thoroughly deserved the win as they were on the end of some very bad refereeing decisions.
I think the next one's in Australia and then after that they're talking about a 6 club format.

Funny story of the day is moronic me getting up at 2.20am to watch it as thats when it was on the Foxtel TV Guide. Was enjoying the game, noticed a shouder charge which went unpunished(they've been banned this year), then when Ryan Hall scored a great intercept try I had a strange sense of deja vu. Then I realised I'd been watching 30 minutes of last year's game against Manly and checked the TV guide to discover this year's wasn't on till 6.15am on GEM. Got up again. What a doofus!

Good win by the Storm to put their tin pot league back in their place.
Maybe the gutless Superleague can come here and play us in our season not during our offseason when we havnt played for 5 months, weak as piss they are.
Sick of hearing the poms say how good their league is, not one of their teams would make top 8 of the NRL

They should come out here, every time I see it, it's been played over there.

I prefer the English Super League to the NRL and have done for over 10 years.
Its better to watch and has better atmosphere but yes I agree a team would struggle to make the top 8 here. For the last two years the Rhinos havent even made the top 4 there but still won the championship.
The game.has been over there mainly because the Aussies prefer it there and it gets better coverage and crowds over there.
