West Tigers sack coach Jason Taylor 3 weeks into the season after losing 36-2 to Penrith last week and the Raiders 46-6 in week 3.

Storm and Roosters both 3-0

Burgess, Hunt and Burns all cop weeks from the tribunal for their part in the blue with the Knights.

Storm & Roosters will be very hard to beat, and it's hard to see them losing.

I'm a Broncos fan, but the Storm are on another level.

Melbourne Storm are going to be hard to beat next week no matter who gets through tonight. Played average in the 1st half yet still kept their noses in front and then put the foot on the pedal. Any team with Cameron Smith at the helm basically has an extra player on the field.

A fair batch of musical talent for The NRL Footy Show's Grand Final show:

An Aussie rock supergroup of Justice League proportions is uniting for a special performance.

Grinspoon frontman Phil Jamieson, Spiderbait drummer Kram and the one and only Tex Perkins will be joining forces to bust out a setlist of Easybeats hits for The Footy Show‘s NRL Grand Final spectacular, to toast the end of this year’s season.

“They are Easy-Fever and they’ll be doing a massive medley that will absolutely tear the house down,” a statement from organisers spruiks.

And Jamo and co. aren’t the only big name musos involved in the event, with the Footy Show gang also booking old love Delta Goodrem, US rockers Everclear and “more MASSIVE musical surprises to be announced in the coming weeks”.

Naturally, there’ll be the usual cavalcade of footy stars and chats about dodgy hamstrings, ref sprays and the like. It’s all set to go down on Channel Nine from 7:30pm AEST tomorrow — AKA Thursday, 28th September — ahead of the big decider on Sunday.

Storm should belt the Cowboys but hope I'm wrong and it's repeat of last year's GF. I was awake about 4 this morning and listened to Roy and HG's call then the standard ABC coverage of last year's GF. Both had the hair on the back of the neck bristling. Bloody funny listening to Roy and HG' s take on the game and generalisations such as if Cronulla players weren't playing rugby they'd be in jail.

They called for the bobcat to bury him the poor bugger. That's potentially a career ender.

If social media is anything to go by, the bobcats are still at the MCG looking for a few blokes who went missing yesterday ;)
