2011 Wimbledon

Postby Gozu » Tue Jun 07, 2011 6:52 pm

From Monday June 20, Seven will broadcast Wimbledon 2011, live throughout Australia on 7TWO.

During the first week the live broadcast kicks off at 9pm (AEST) on 7TWO (7pm WST), and from 10pm on 7TWO during the second week.

Coverage will then continue on Seven from 11pm local time each night.

It marks a significant change from the late night broadcasts that have been traditionally offered by Nine, and a point o difference from primetime Australian Open matches on Seven.

All singles and doubles finals, as well as the singles’ semi-finals, will be live on Seven, and on 7TWO in some states.

Wimbledon with its white dress policy, any chance of a throw back to this old shot

Watching the Eastbourne warm-up tournament live on Eurosport, Rochus just won the first set against Hewitt 6-2.

Davydenko is a mug on grass and doesn't have much form in 2011.

Seriously? He's at a career high ranking, he's reached two ATP challenger Semi's of over the past 3 weeks, and has just qualified for Wimbledon for the second straight year.

Yeah NFC that does suprise me. 2 years ago i thought geez this kid is unreal he could be anything but everytime i watched him last year he was disappointing. I have no doubt that his ranking has climbed because he is playing in a lot more tournaments. I hope he can turn his potential into a good career, alot of junior champs just dont go on with it for one reason or another

Dokic loses 6-4, 1-6, 6-3. :(

She played excellent though, and had sooo many chances. Without the rain delay at 1-1 in the 3rd she might have won, you never know, she had all the momentum.

Hewitt has won the first set.

Stosur in strife. A set and a break down.

edit: make that 2 breaks.
