Djokovic is too rooted to hold up the cup ...

This game finished just after 1.30 Melbourne time
Other Finals would be finishing deep into the night
Is there any reason why the final is not starting earlier ?

I would think starting time is based around maximising tv ratings.

How classic was seeing the players' agony while the Korean bloke spoke?
They were cramping like mad and the bloke on the mic was just slowly drawling on! Lol

Is it fair on the players to finish past midnight though ?

If they start at 1300 and have a 35 degree day they'd be more rooted, then people would whinge about the blokes playing in the heat....

How are the tennis people to know they'll roll out a 5 hr marathon.

Hell the chicks finished in a hour

Hasn't taken long.
Nicole Pratt has defended the equal pay at majors saying its all about quantity not quality. She added that the womems final was an excellant exhibition of tennis. WTF its a joke, make them play 5 or take a pay cut. No way should guys going over 6 hours get the same as the women's which went for an hour

My wife works part time - 3 days a week. The quality of her work is of the same standard as anyone else in her teams and they work 5 days. If I went to her employer and said that she should have equal pay - the same as someone who works 5 days, they'd lock me up and call for the ambulance and one of those jackets that ties up at the back.

Tell the women, that if they play 3/5ths of a full match (which they do in major tournaments) then they deserve 3/5ths of the purse. End of story.
