Great performance by Hewitt to beat Gilles Muller in 5 sets in the 2nd round and now faces 4th seed David Ferrer. If Hewitt is close to his best fitness there is going to be a few kilometres covered by these two.
Samantha Stosur has also hit form and now faces the also in form Laura Robson in the 4th round.

Gee, I didn't think it was as big as a pea.

We don't seem to have a huge tennis following on SA footy? Why is that?

Tomic is a twat and lost just about everyone he had on his side (Which is not many) with his petulant display in his press conference.

Fed out to Berdych today in 4 and Serena cruised past the Ivanovic in straight sets. Come on Andy Murray now for me.

Follow tennis but not a massive addict.
Always find the US Open the worst out of the slams, cant stand the tie break in the deciding set.
Have found this obe difficult to follow as im a massive big Rafa fan so with him missing my interest has waned a fair bit.
Anyone but Murray from here in the Mens, would love to see him lose another final.
Serena will win the Womens without breaking a sweat.

While Azarenka is still around Jim, Williams will be looking over her shoulder.

Serena in straight sets IMO, she is a class above, its just a question of her staying focused and not spitting the dummy.

Ferrer into the semis after coming from 4-0 down in the 5th against the nutter Serb Tipsarevic.
Could play the other mad Serb in the Semi, will play the winner of Djok v Del Potro

Ferrer reminds me of Lleyton in his prime as far as his ability to never allow a point to be given to his opponent and IMHO he has gotten the most out of the ability he has and possibly would have got to number 1 in the world in a lot of other eras.

By swinging her racket around during the pre-match formalities and coin toss, Serena Wiliams displays appalling rudeness and disrespect to the match official and her opponent.

Most certainly was not surprised by it.
Will admit that am actually slightly happy that she prevailed in the end as I can't stand these players that intentionally squeal. The sooner the authorities do something about it the better.

Does PL footy really need the Tigers, after last years efforts I'd say no. It's a bye anyway, might as well just call the day off and go fishing!![/quote]
