Try their social networking team. They're very good and will answer any questions properly.

my experience with telstra is you speak to one person they tell you one thing hang up and ring back to speak to another and you get a different story.
We're on this journey together, One Heart, One Club and they will Never Ever Tear Us Apart.

My experience is that it's not that easy:
1st you go on hold, then the person you talk to says they can't help me,
......but I'll transfer you to someone who can,
then you go back on hold again,
and wait,
and wait some more,
you get to the wrong person again
they also transfer you to someone they say can help you,
this can repeat itself up to 4 or 5 times.
After 5 evenings and over 3 hours on hold (I shit you not!) you finally find the one person in the whole corporation that can help you, you ask for their direct number just in case the problem persists, only to be told they can't give it out, you will have to ring the generic number if required again.

My reply from this forum.Telstra
Hey Bundy,

Congrats on the building of your home and hope that you have a smooth run with having this completed :)

We are not able to have your services placed on hold with Telstra and apologise for any inconvenience that this causes you. We do offer the option of having your services placed on to the lowest plan possible so you are able to keep your services active and ready to relocate to your new home once it has been completed. I would recommend contacting BigPond on 137663 (24/7) and say billing to discuss your options further.
