PC notebook vs MacNotes????

Computer Nerds and other people who may be in the know.....

I am currently shopping around for a laptop to use for internet/emailing and photos and had been looking at a Toshiba notebook (PC) but today went into David Jones and got shown a MacBook. What are the pro's and con's between the two.
Mac Book has 2GHz Intel Core Duo where I think Toshiba is 1.66GHz
Both have 512MB memory
Both are 60GB
Mac Book has built in blue tooth 2.0 and AirPort Extreme, dont know about the PC.
MacBook price $2,099 (free carry-case and mouse) Toshiba $1,799 (free extra 512MB uninstalled).

Any help much appreciated.

Comes down more to software Troy.

If you're not afraid of changing to the MAC OS then give it a go.
Personally I'd much rather a PC Laptop - but I'm a PC person in general.

Either way you won't go wrong - but it depends what you use at the moment - if you use a Windows based machine now - you'll be in for a shock!

Currently using a PC with Windows 98 SE so is frigging too slow.

Unless you want a MAC - don't get one.
Don't compare specs, or anything.

Work out if you want a MAC or a PC and then look for the best one of that type!

I prefer PCs personally. I've never been a fan of MACs.

Whatever way you go, make sure you salary package it as its a no brainer with laptops, no FBT payable.
If you can't with your company get a family member or friend to do it.

Personally I'd go the PC, like Diss, I use a huge array of software and most of what I use isn't available for the MAC or if it is even worse I'd have to pay for it!

Also, unless you really need one right now, I would hold off. Newest intel chips are about to be released, which will means you will get more bang for your buck soon - approximately 4-8 weeks. You can grab one with the new chip for the same price as the current top of range and the current models will all be subsequently cheaper.

We are rolling out 100s of Dell PCs and Laptops at the moment. Not bad at all - a lot better than I thought they would be!
