I remember being quoted $14,000 to get a computer and printer for my office in 1984.
I waited till early 1987 and did it for $3400. [XT Turbo and Epson 9 pin dot matrix printer.]
That was with the 10MB HDD I upgraded later that year.
The kids of today don't know how cheap they've got it!

Not bad ... you could have bought a 1TB Seagate HDD for $105 (or WD for $110) and a USB enclosure for $15 at MSY (http://www.msy.com.au). To save $7 you open the enclosure, snap in the HDD and close it.
