Hoping someone can help me out here...??

I just bought a WII & want to get it online, I have broadband internet through a vodafone mobile connection (the little usb stick) but not sure how to connect the WII... the only way I have found that might work is purchasing the WII wi-fi connector & adding the software onto my computer.. the issue with this is that I have windows vista & apparently it doesnt work on vista...

Any ideas???

You need to have a wireless router and it connects very easily.
There might be something that allows you to connec a mobile internet modem to a wirless modem otherwise you'd have to use a pc as a server having both connected to it.
Mobile connections aren't as reliable or as quick as adsl so I'd suggest getting a decent adsl connection on a cheap plan and just use your mobile connection when out and about which is what they're designed for.
If you can't get adsl then see my first suggestion.

Once you have wireless in your home a Wii can find it automatically and quickly and away you go.

Had a quick look and there are new wireless routers on the market which you can put a sim card into which will then give you wireless coverage in your home for things like the Wii.

Telstra have one for sale online called a 7.2 Home Network Gateway for $299. You might be able to get one in the mid $200s if you shop around. (Vodaphone didn't have any on their site but you don't have to shop for one from your provider).
I'd still recommend going ADSL 2 if its available in your area but at least there's a direct solution for you.

If you're interested.. went into JB Hifi & picked up a Netgear 3G Wireless Router & all I had to do was plug my vodafone usb into it & then a few cables into the computer & away we go... wireless internet at home for online WII, psp etc etc... DYNAMITE

Oh no, you should have gone to MSY and got it at least $25 cheaper. JB is so overpriced! What model number is it?

Glad everything's working though and a much cheaper solution than what Telstra provide!

JB start high but if you mention you can do better elsewhere they tend to get flexible - based at my experience of them in Melbourne at Wantirna.
Also, more recently at Marion where they quickly almost halved the price of 60 meters of speaker cable when I started to leave.
They also offered to better any price I had on a digital SLR.
