Don't use p2p. The media corps will get ya one day. Could be an expensive exercise for that catchy tune you heard on the radio. I still buy my music on cd and vinyl, from overseas. TV is a different story. Download from newsgroups for that. So many great shows don't get a go on commercial tv. Why should I miss out because there's 1 million people in Oz that love CSI, Two and a half men, BBT, Master Chef and The Mentalist.

TSG, the amount i download, I reckon I'm 1 billionth in line to get caught up by the 'media corps'. So I'll happily wait my turn.

BTW, if everyone in the 'media corps' (ie, record/production companies) is so against people being able to download stuff, why do they supply material that allows you to burn DVD's and CD's with "illegal" material?

And why do ISP's legally advertise massive download packages to get people 'in'? Yep, some people will download legal stuff, but the majority wont and the ISP's are knowingly allowing it.

The Legal software released is to back up your own files, not for pirating movies etc.

More and more Internet packages are not allowing P2P and newsgroup downloads. I'm sure there are ways around that though.

Go for your life downloading music. I don't as I prefer high quality CDs and vinyl, than compressed music.

Since Limewire died a while back, I have discovered a program called freefox.

Only recently i have explored the program more and found it worth telling you about.

I am on the work computer at the minute and cant be that accurate.

I have been watching past episodes of stargate on the science fiction channel.

it's like free tv from the us or something.

when there is nothing on free to air tv, i search this program and i can watch movies also.

Streaming to my 32" tv/computer screen. I don't think you can download them.

I get all my music downloads here also.

Try it. Explore it. It's all free. :D :D

Fine Dutchy. It downloads them as an .flv which I then convert to .avi when required (for burning and playing on the TV at home/parties).

Update, if you save them as .avi you can save the hassle of converting them later. Works fine. I've purchased a media centre, so now I hook that up to the tv and have them playing on random for hours at parties.
