It is easier to use on a sunday morning.

Wake up to make the little lady some breakfast.

Usually Bacon & Eggs on toast. Cuppa green tea/cappichino coffee for Dog_ger.

Lah-de-dah breaky every sunday.

Now she can read Adelaide Now via ipad. No need to go and get the paper.

And when she gets pissed off with the Roosters losing.....

She can play any of the downloaded games.

Mrs_Dog_ger is currently trying to learn the game of chess.

But there are plenty of other games she is interested in.

ipad2 a good buy. :D

It's only Money $$$ :)

you can actually buy the advertiser app so you still get the full paper not jus the stories put onto adelaidenow think it's like 80cents a day or something like that but definitely cheaper then buying the paper.

Just use AdelaideNow, the paid app is a ripoff and is not the same as the paper version.

A refurb, doesn't worry me though, with a 12 month warranty even if I only get 12 months out of it for that price is fine.

Good things about iPad2
Battery life
Starts up immediately
Light weight and mobile
Apps

Bad things about iPad2
Lack of flash support - incredibly annoying that apple deliberately makes it less useful than it easily could be
Unable to play any video downloads except through iTunes - this is a deal-breaker for me, and I will buy non- apple next time
It's mainly just a toy, not useful for work, as it can't handle word etc, although from what I understand neither can android tablets

What do you mean?

There is some history behind the lack of Adobe software support on Apple hardware. Apparently Steve Jobs fell out with the guy who branched out and formed the Adobe company back when they were engineering students. Jobs eventually declared he would block Adobe's access to Apple Macintosh products as payback. The feud between the two companies has diluted slightly since the passing of Jobs.

Android won't support Flash soon either, everything is going to HTML5 which is a lot smoother experience for everyone.

Flight tracker is still my favourite app. When a jet passes overhead you go into the app and it tells you what flight, airline, height, speed, track, distance to destination, blah blah. It's a great party trick

I see Fieldrunners 2 is out on the Ipad now. Trying to get my daughter to download it but she's scared she'll never get her Ipad back. I love the original Fieldrunners, along with Plants v Zombies my fav games for phone/tablet.

Watching non-iTunes videos on the iPad is easy :)

I stream them from my NAS, works a treat.
Love taking it to places when using my camera - just plug the card in and view the photos. Very good for taking photos and showing them on the fly without having to boto up or anything, and the swiping is pretty :D

Using SugarSync means I can load anyhing I want off my account. Awesome when on the road.

Nice having the Pokerstars app too. Dangerous!
I love 'Food and Stuff'. It's where I buy all of my food. And most of my stuff.

Can a tech head help me get my iPad back to normal in the way it displays the safooty pages? I somehow touched the screen with my right wrist while composing a message and must have hit an icon or button or whatever and now the pages don't fit and if I pinch then screen down to get the page to fit the text is so small I can't read it. The malady has carried itself to my laptop as well. So I need a setting adjustment but can't find an appropriate tag/button/icon.
HELP!
