HDMI - PC to TV

Postby Q. » Mon Feb 11, 2013 7:57 pm

Stuck.

Not sure why I don't get a connection.

Is the TV not recognising the PC, or is the PC not sending out the signal? How do I find out which one it is?

Try flicking through your tv inputs. I have a tv that can be temperamental.

You have to hold the "Fn" (function) button on the laptop, then theres usually one of the "F" buttons (mines F7) that you push and you can select if it is just the computer screen on, both the computer and the tv, or just the tv.

try turning on the tv then once the channel is up (should say no connection or something) then plug in your laptop.

As mentioned, try the function keys - so you can flick between just LCD, just your TV, or both etc.

Also check the HDMI cable to make sure it's working

And make sure you have the right input on the TV.

Then let me know and I Can check it out for you

Are you using a garden hose instead of a HDMI cable?

I think you put the male connection in the female port, then pull it out slowly, then put it in a bit faster, then repeat progressively getting faster and faster until the final goal is accomplished...

Got video. No audio.

Do I need to configure the PC sound output for HDMI audio?
