Dunno maybe. I can do it on all 3 tvs in my house. Just change to projector only and its sweet. It works on a Samsung, Teac and Sanyo. My laptops a Vaio. What brand of computer do you have. Surely theres a manual online for it

No, but you will have to change the speakers that it defaults to. I'm guessing a newish laptop so whatever you have plugged the HDMI cable into should appear as an option.

laptop might not have hdmi audio out. does the tv have any audio inputs thats not related to a specific channel.

If the laptop has HDMI in/out, it will have audio out. Guarantee your default speakers aren't set up properly.

Yeah HDMI is audio and video. Never heard of a video only HDMI cord.

hopin its a lot less stressful than for Q

i dont have a HDMI port on my laptop tho,
