Would like to see some new, original games, rather then the continual regurgitating of the same old.

The console Valve have in development might blow them all away.

From everything Ive read and seen, Microsoft are pretty much trying to control what you do with your own property.

First, they made it so once a game has been played on one console, it couldnt be played on another without purchasing a code to unlock it. People cracked the shits and now you can share your disks, but only to consoles that have been on a sort of "friends list" for over a certain amount of time. Also, it affects second hand game sales, and Im pretty sure GameStop in the US have a history of taking consoles off the shelves is they affect their profit earning power.

Second, the whole camera and microphone constantly on makes me not want one in my house. Anyone could be watching me at any time for all I know. I dont mind being watched doing the deed on the lounge, but the missus and her friends might ;)

Third, having to be connected to the internet to "authenticate" once every 24 hours is a load of shit. Also, im pretty sure they wanted to make you authenticate any games you bought while you install them, like a pc.

I like the pot shot Sony had at Microsoft the other day. See below.

I see the PS4 is $50 cheaper than the Xbox One too.
How does the PlayStation online experience stack up with the Xbox?

Sony are saying that their games will have no restrictions when it comes to reselling/lending but third party vendors are allowed to implement whatever strategy they want so we still may see limitations on the PS4.
Also Sony are now requiring payment for on-line gaming on the PS4 ($50/year mentioned).

Havent seen any mention on game pricing yet.

Xbox One has Kinect in built and not optional whereas with Sony the "Eye" is optional.

Looks like I'll get to to play Ratchet and Clank again!
Only PlayStation I didn't get was the PS3.

Would either unit win if you were just looking at a media centre predominately?

I find it hilarious that Sony havent even done anything groundbreaking, yet they're going to smash Microsoft when these consoles come out.

Microsoft shot themselves in the foot. Surely they'll try to scale back the stupidness before they hit the shelves.
