How to open a word document that is password protected?

Postby amber_fluid » Thu Jan 19, 2017 6:36 pm

Does anyone know how to open an MS word document that has a password attached.
Does anyone know of any free software that will crack it?
I know there is software you can purchase which does the job but I was hoping there was some free software out there or even another means of doing this?
Any help appreciated.
There are no stupid questions, just stupid people.

Nothing much......I've just done a few burglaries lately and need to open some laptops and documents. ;)

Nah I password protected my resume 10 years ago and was just sorting through some stuff and have realised I can't open it.

Should be able to enter a VB code to unlock the document.

Tried that but no go.
I actually used free software that cracks the code....... but it only shows you the first 3 letters unless you purchase the software.
Once it gave me the first 3 letters I guessed it from there.

Finally got it open.
