I downloaded some songs from Limewire, neither would open in WMP, it said there was an error with the tag. I've downloaded a free program from http://www.mp3fe.com does anyone have info, with regards to what I should be aware of? Are these programs "trustworthy'?

Punk,I use a program called "mp3tag" to remove tags when I have similar problems.It is freeware available at http://www.mp3tag.de I have not had any issues with it although I do use it infrequently.Can't comment on the other program but I am always suspicious of sites offering ringtones and the like but that may just be me!
Edit:Sorry made a blue,I use "mp3gain" to remove tags as it is simpler to use than "mp3tag". It is also a very handy program which will normalize your mp3 collection.I highly recommend it and again it is freeware available at http://mp3gain.sourceforge.net/

Punk Rooster, I have used CD-DA Extractor software from http://www.poikosoft.com when you want to convert audio files from one format to another. Not sure if this would help solve your problem, but give it a try.
