We've seen it all over teenagers' Facebook statuses. Some even say it aloud.
For those not in the know, FML, well the first letter is obvious, the second two stand for "My Life".
Urban Dictionary says:

When one is in a bad situation and needs to fill that agravated sigh in with a word.
"dude i think your mom is making out with that guy again."
"fml....not again."

It is also made popular by the website http://www.fmylife.com a popular website, where people post their embarrassing stories. They all start with Today and end with FML.

Some golden recent posts include: Today, I bought a "I love my boyfriend" t-shirt so people wouldn't think I'm single. I'm very single. FML

It would be good to see some "FMLs" from people on here.

Today I went to the hairdressers with my special membership card that said on my fifth haircut I get a free shampoo.
After my haircut, I went to claim my free shampoo.
The girl there said I need to buy a conditioner to get my free shampoo.
I said I don't use conditioner, but she wouldn't budge.
So $14 later, I now have a bottle of conditioner I will never use.
So much for free shampoo. FML.
