I'm not sure Forby will be playing

He played on Sunday with a serious ear infection that affected his balance, which made him continually fall forward for no apparent reason

I spent the whole time looking at SMOSH on Sunday, it would have been a wasted trip if PAOC had of won the game. I did notice one or two things about the SMOSH boys that could help this Saturday BUT the underlying fact is to win the game you must play better football. I expect another tough cracker game similar to the SMOSH-PAOC game and the team that take takes advantage of their opportunities will win the game (Which PAOC failed to do on Sunday).

From training last night looks like there is 4 maybe 5 to return for smosh. So they could run out with there strongest side of the year. Should be a great contest. Also heard the Golden Grove umpire did not bother showing up to the tribunal hearing last. Case was thrown out.

It will be a tough week at selection for all grades this week, there is about 8 players to come back into the A and B grade sides this week alone.

This will filter down the grades, we will probably get 7 or 8 into our side which will mean that same number may get dropped back to the D grade. There will possibly be blokes playing D grade this week that have not been there all year. Our injury count has really come good at the right time of year.

u have to feel sorry for the lads that drop out. Had a chat with a few lads from paoc helping with water. they were emergencies for the game against smosh. Played all year only to miss out. Hopefully those guys get a game this week.

we've had up to 7 miss out each week even with a d-grade for the first time in a long time. good problem to have. but as you say it would be nice for all the lads in lower grades to get a run during the finals. especially the lads who've played all year. but as we all know life aint that easy sometimes

I do feel for these guys, what makes it worse for them is they are usually guys that are there training every night! I feel bad because I can only get there one night a week to play C grade and these guys work hard to miss out on the D grade. It is a great position to be in as a club, we are similar to PAOC with are four grades playing this week for a GF spot! so we will obviously be playing our best sides available in each grade. At the least as a club we so want the A grade to get over the line against Pooraka and get us into Div 3 next year!

Question for Golden Grove we aren't your C & D Grade playing home finals this week if you qualified as the home team in both C4 & C6?
Is it because the A & B's are playing away at the same time and you won't get the support.
Our C1 side is playing a home final at the same time as the D1's are playing at SHOC

Let that be a lesson to you Sturt. You don't beat Glenelg 3 times in a row in Grand Finals and get away with it.

To be honest FE I dont think that the club would pay for the home game for the C and D grade, the support wouldnt be the issue as we would have this from our own teams. The oval isnt in the greatest shape either so we are happy to play out at Kilburn.

No one would want to pay $500 or $1000 to play on our oval, its in terrible condition at the moment
