Not too many bad ovals this year with the exception of Houghton after and during a monsoon!

I now LOOOOVE Richmond Oval too :D

My memories of West Croydon are no good, we would always win but it was always muddy and used to absolutely pour.

I find West Croydon to be an odd ground. The Eastern side is in really good nick and seems to go forever and the Western side is really narrow and has hardly any grass on it at all. Must get alot of traffic going over it or something?

That's because they can only train on the Western side because of the lack of lighting on the Eastern side.

Yes, had a tree hanging over the oval in one of the pockets. Dont really remember much else about it, as it was 1992 i played on it.

When we played there, the mother of the bloke i was standing came over and asked our coach if he could tell me to stop pushing and shoving her son ! Serious !

Not to mention the eastern wing where the largest gum tree around the ground had a boundary line painted around it. On a massive slope....shocking ground.

Ha! I remember playing there when I was at North Haven. Our runner got games for clotheslining a BK player who was running in front of the coaches box.

My really poor memory means I can't even think of his name either. Maybe one of the old Haven lads can help out here...

Also played there in 92, remember it being a baseball field. I can remember it because it was the smallest and muddiest ground I've played on

Hay, Lay off the old war horse. ;) He retired last season for about the tenth time, but he'll make another miracle come back next year, meaning we'll have carry him off. Again. ;)

Dont laugh  - it's just about true. ;)

Lets put it this way, you wouldn't want Hendo and Cameron Smith at the same club, the tape budget would be 5 figures

The name Jamie keeps coming to me for some reason... I dunno.

The above was almost as good as the return game, when a guy who played for Havens (with a rugby background) spear tackled a poor BK player to the ground and he was gone for the count - he wasn't in a good way afterwards!

BK was a shocker. We played a trial game there in 2000.

Remember a gun full forward of theirs sitting on my shoulders taking an absolute hanger on me in the first quarter. One of the best marks I have participated in!
