only problem is, is that if it comes down to Dons word vs Duane word and thats it i think you will find the commitee will be pretty comfortable in backing the umpire in every time.

Also been told don is not going to the tribunal, is this normal?

if Don doesnt go then you must have a big chance of getting him off. Don would probably get in trouble for wasting everyones time again if he went

would be good to see the brahma lodge guys support duane (or when it comes to the ump in question, anyone ) and perhaps suggest to the pdca that if something as ridiculous as this results in a suspension then both teams plan to declare all innings at 0-0 , a tie so 2 premiers , just a thought

Personally i would think Brahma would want to stay clear of this and just get on with their own preparation for the game, especially considering they weren't even at the incident so they would only be going by peoples words as to what exactly was said and done.

Total waste of time and anyone with a brain that sits on that tribunal should look at it and nearly book donny for being a complete idiot about it..IMO...
Then they should tell him everytime he umpires he should look around to remind himself there isnt 12mtr high barb wire fences around the ground...
But you are all prob right, they will have it decided before duane goes in there and that in itself is a disgrace..

It was a joke ever going out there, but after begging to get out there I honestly though some pride would have been shown, instead you guys continued to throw wickets away. Ahh well, enjoy Grade 2 again next year, Brahma Yellow look forward to playing Brahma Black in a good Grade 1 Showdown next year.

Seriously dude stay off the acid!
Possibility of 35-40 overs once we eventually got on the park at 4:10 so of course we are going to have a crack at 6-7 runs per over...6/98 after 16 overs was a fair effort considering how dark it was and how poor conditions were for both sides.

Custard, we all know how much of a joke this is, there's no questioning that. I feel for him, and hope common sense prevails and the suspension gets overturned.

I actually cant believe that the captain gets dragged through all this as well. I know they have a responsibility, but no-one can stop an off the cuff comment, as little and harmless as it may be.

The fine is for declaring behind, not equal.

Either way though, won't happen. Neither side will agree to something like that. A round 1 game perhaps if a side felt that aggrieved that nothing was done in the meantime might be the most remote of chances but never in a final.

catchit sounds like the tribunal has found duane guilty without even hearing his side.... you would hope thats not the case but it sounds like it.... as for the umpire not going thats a joke if he doesnt turn up they must find duane not guilty as how can he be cross examined if he is not there.... starting to sound like a murder case or something

No, the PDCA is just following common protocol in relation to the reports, there is a prescribed penalty for offences that are offered to avoid going to the tribunal. These don't take into consideration prior history or any other factor, they are simply for convenience.

You are right, I probably should be playing grade 2, but I am not, and I am having a hit in Grade 1, something you Craigmore lads wont know about next year. Well done at failing in the business part of the season again, especially against a B grade side.

And finally, I dont even know who you are so maybe you should share with me your identity so it is fair when you have a go at me......

Have a go at you (geez touchy) all i said was you should be in your Grade 2 team and you agreed with me. Bit of banter mate, you have had your fair share of cracks at us, all in good fun.
Now wheres the fun in me revealing to you who i am? If you didnt want people to know your identity then why name yourself Masha?

doesnt happen at the para district tribunal as we found out earlier in the year, the umpire not going has no bearing on whether they will find you guilty or not guilty just ask one of our players.

we were also briefed before our tribunal hearing and was told by the commitee that they can suspend you before they find you not guilty. Not sure where that fits into criminal law but they seem to think they can do that as they had planned to do in our situation.

So in donnys book he would also have these prescribed penalties and prob puts the weeks suspension next to the name, just to get more of a kick out of it....
