How do you get these points? There is only 48 (8 races, 6 points per race) points up for grabs and your total equals 57?

What the heck - doing JC today - if I don't win then Saturday's will be crossed off my JC list
Can't resist with so many on offer - I've gone for some 'odds' but with such big fields I suppose/hoping anything can happen.

Wish me luck !!

Eagle Farm
Luke Nolen @ $26
Damian Browne @ $16

Morphettville
Todd Pannell @ $14
AOJ @ $10

Newcastle
Jeff Penza @ $16
Dale Spriggs @ $7-50

Flemington
James Winks @ $18
Dan Nikolic @ $11

Rosehill
Ibrahim Gundogdu @ $51
Nathan Berry @ $17
Tommy Berry @ $16

Good luck to those doing JC !! :D

The way I do it is give a 5,4,3,2,1, for each race.

You havn't got Brown and browne the wrong way around have you?
Just seems very high for browne given he only has 5 rides and one of them is 100 to 1 fixed
I do like the system rating down to 4 and 5 does give a better guide than just 123 :D
goodluck everyone (I think we have created a Mumster outta mum  )

I'm clearly no expert - but my reasoning for picking Browne:

8 race card - he has 5 rides - so a ride in more than half.
Race 1 - horse has good form - so if doesn't win could sneak a place.
Race 2 - horse has good form and is second up from a spell - so fresh?
Race 4 - horse has good form - so if doesn't win could sneak a place.
Race 6 - horse has good form and given as a special by one of the 'expert'/selectors.
Race 7 - Roughie - but how many roughies we seen get up lately? lol.

All these 'maybe' points can add up.

Anyway I probably know nothing about nothing and I'll be the first to admit it - but that's just how I looked at it.
So he probably won't get any points

Ohhhhh well... lol

Good luck BA O:)

Which is why you know something about something :D

Whenever I work the form in the JC's, I don';t rank them in 3,2,1 or anything, I just record how many possible chances (selected horses, or priced in market with form etc) each jockey has, coupled with total number of rides.

Often I might rate someone at $15 with as many chances as someone at $2, it's just that the $2 rider is on a few "sure things" .. Once I've established a reasonable amount of "chance" rides, I just hope to get lucky with wins or places.
