Daicos I dont want to name people on here, but truthfully some of our umps get intimidated by the actions
of certain players and clubs.
Other more experienced umpires are not afraid to make decisions and call it they see it.
I was present when an umpire was accused of being racist this guy called the team a bunch of thugs
and when challenged his response was Thats cos you are.
I dont have a problem with umpires but consistancy is the key

Any truth to the rumour Tumby didn't put through a clearance to the league for Jay Shannon on Saturday?

One would think that Tumby is still registered local club. I think Jay has played either reserves or league footy since going to Port full time so only needed a clearance from Port.

that is true heater, but he is still required to be registered with tumby on footy web which requires a clearance from port. if this wasn't done then they are in trouble

You don't need a clearance from the league club. as long as Tumby is the club he is registered with, he is fine.
So you've seen everything have you?
Yep
Have you ever seen a man eat his own head?
No
Well you haven't seen everything then have you.

Agree with this. Harder or Grove could come back and play in PL at any time.

By clearance from Port I mean they give the ok for him to play. Given that he has been injured all season and Port having the bye they obviously let him have a game for match practice.

and when you join a league club, you will always still be registered with the country club you last played with. If he left Tumby to go to Port, he will still be registered with Tumby.

i believe you are all correct but and he is allowed to play with tumby, BUT because we have gone to footyweb ALL players from the previous 2 or 3 years that have played for a club have had to be re-registered and put on footyweb. if tumby have not done this with jay (i don't know if they have or have not) then he is not a registered player.
not sure what will happen if it's true.

I think Harder was previously cleared to a side in adelaide. Grove I am not so sure of
