No idea where this rumor came from, but definitely not from the UEFC Management.
Shayne Mitchell has definitely been reapointed as Senior Coach for 2012.

Said in today's Courier that Echunga are looking for a coaching replacement.

Does that mean that Lennon hasn't actually been appointed, or has the Courier not heard the news yet?

Hear, Hear Mr Walker.
From internal sources, I've heard Callington are so happy with Mitchell they've given him a life sentence, otherwise he's committed to a minimum four year non-parole if he chooses to take it.
Also hearing a rainbow recently set on top of the Callington mine and Mitch was lucky enough to get his hand on a pot of gold. Will see them mid table in 2012.

That's very good news if true. No-one likes to see proud clubs die. There's a lot of potential in Callington for young families. It's a 'buyers' market' property-wise with lots of houses for sale. It seems a golden opportunity for the Eagles to get families back, regroup and recover junior sides. The ideal scenario would be to have dads in the Seniors and their kids in the Juniors. :)
Players win awards. Teams win games. Clubs win Premierships.

I would suspect this may be his last if he doesnt bring the cup home

Its in their constitution at a coach is only given three years then they go through the process of appointing a coach again.

Nairne have always been good in October, November and December. Pity there is no footy played then.

Don't you know that we won't lose a game next year, and win every game by 10goals+. :D
But seriously, going by Tony's coaching record in the RMFL, we can only look positively at the appointment.
