This vid says it all. Roma fans are already at the barier. On Utd side, riot police with battons charging into the fans, on the Roma side a few club stewards offerring cappuchino's.

There was similar fighting last night in Seville with Tottenham fans and police. One of the Spurs fans woulda weighed in over 150kgs - he Was Hugeeeeeeeee.

Claret - I reckon Brum to beat Burnley and Sunderland to beat Wolves is a certain double for the punters!!

Burnley are going to have a say in who finishes where this year. We play Brum, Sunderland, WBA and Cardiff yet. Brum tomorrow will be tough, then WBA at the Turf.

CCC Update Friday 6th April

Postby johntheclaret » Sat Apr 07, 2007 4:16 am

Leicester 1 - 1 Derby Fagan opened scoring for Derby in 1st half. Frayatt equalised for Leics after coming on as sub (how many times have you heard that?) Fagan missed a great chance to win it but shot straight at the keeper. Another 2 points dropped by the Rams. with BCFC 2 games in hand and the Cats in top form, this will be a tight call for promotion
Hull 1 - 2 Norwich
Southend 0 - 3 Colchester Cureton hat trick. This guy has been around for years and scored wherever he has played

Derby 41 77
Birmingham 39 74
Sunderland 40 73

Tomorrow
Birmingham v Burnley
Sunderland v Wolves

Latest EPL score City 0 - 0 Charlton
Tonight 7:00 Everton v Fulham. Everton will go above Spurs if they win ???

Arsenal News
Wenger deines Henry linked with Barca (Maybe he will be joining Ronaldo :?:   )
Flamini likely to leave the gunners in the summer

Cardiff are in strife. We don't have much depth so as soon as we lose a key player or two (especially Chopra as we rely on him to score so much) then we will struggle. Still, you never know.. a gutsy performance could see us snatch a win, we desperately need 3 points to stay in touch with the playoffs.

Burnley - YOU BEAUTY!!!

What a fantastic three way race. Even assuming Birmingham win their game in hand, Sunderland is the form team. Southampton will be tough opposition for them. As a side note, Colchester v Leeds is a replay of a very famous FA Cup mega-upset in 1971.

How good is this division?

CCC Results Monday 9th Apr

Postby johntheclaret » Tue Apr 10, 2007 6:10 am

Barnsley 1 - 0 Birmingham Oops another slip
BURNLEY 2 - 0 Cardiff. Even with Chopra and Purse back the Claret were just too good.  3 on the bounce now
Colchester 2 - 1 Leeds. Bad result for LUFC. Cureton again on target (Cr4p crowd, only 5,900, at least 1,500 LU fans)
Derby 1 - 1 Coventry. Another 2 points dropped. A bad weekend for the Rams, leaves the door open for the Cats to go Top, and had to come from behind to get draw.
Norwich 1 - 2 WBA Baggies come from behind (Kamara scored 2nd on 90 mins) Vital win
Plymouth 3 - 0 Leicester. Leics on free fall. End of season might come just in time ??
Preston 2 - 3 Southend. Southend score winner on 90 minutes. PNE have fallen apart losing last 3. Local radio was white hot tonight with Lillywhite fans crying and whinging, calling for the manager to resign and the chairmans head  . For Christ sake, you are still in the payoffs you babies . god know what you would be like if you had just been on a run of 18 without a win
QPR 3 - 2 Luton. Dexter Blackstock again with a brace and Furlon after 90 mins seals the win.
Sheff Wed 2 - 0 Ipswich
Saints 1 - 2 The Black Cats. Sunderland go top after coming from behind. Saganowski again gave Soton the lead with only 20 mins remaining, but to be fair, Sunderland looked good value for their win. Saints miss chance to move back into the playoffs although PNE look a bit ropey now.
Stoke 2 - 1 Palace Soke keep pressure on top 6
Wolves 3 - 1 Hull. Wolves needed this win to steady the ship and a home tie against relegation battlers Hull was probably the best the could wish for to get all 3 points

And the table

Sunderland 42 79
Derby 42 78

Birmingham 41 74
WBA 42 70
Wolves 42 69
PNE 42 68

Stoke 42 67
Soton 42 66
Colchester 42 65 (Who ??)
Cardiff 42 63 (See you next year RM)
Sheff Wed 42 62
Palace 42 58
Plymouth 42 55
Ipswich 42 54
Coventry 42 53
Norwich 41 53
The Clarets 41 51
QPR 42 49
Leicester 41 47 Must be getting very nervous now
Hull 42 44
Barnsley 42 44

Leeds 42 42
Southend 42 42
Luton 42 37

What about Barnsley - beating promotion front runners Birmingham and sending Leeds back into the bottom 3.

Pity to see the Hatters going down. The wheels have fallen off at Kenilworth Road.
