im not so sure it happens as much these days boosh, imo in the past it certainly did happen with certain people being in persuasive position at the magpies who were also heavilly involved with Pt Districts,
i think in Hales case he did a fair bit of shopping himself around and ended up at the highest bidder, which you cant blame a bloke for doing.
Were has Marbles gone and who is Satchel

So Boosh can you fill in some blanks. When those boys left PAFC, is it fair to assume they still hold hope of returning to the MAgpies either this year or for another crack next year

They were told that they would only be "watched" by the magpies if they went to PDFC

This is an indisputable fact.
I have a problem. It's to do with the little man, the squashed-in French man, the naked little squashed up hairy boy! You know! With the hand feet

I am disputing that Betteridge and Hales were told that.

Reckon the odds given are pretty accurate. Port District are a mile in front of everyone else, with Gullies, PAC and Uni the next level down and then a reasonable drop to Walkies, Modbury and Iggies then write your own ticket on the rest

No. Most other clubs would spend much more I would think. Am sure some get something but most just want a great environment is my guess. Don't think you like the Largs boys NM, from memory

Your odds are a joke. No matter how much you try and explain it, there is no escaping the fact that it's a terrible market you've submitted.

I cant comment about the first 2, but i can guarantee you, there was no influence from Port Adelaide on Betteridge and Hales going to Districts. If they told your club there was, they are not telling the truth. I know Jared was offered some money at Districts, and i know Betteridge wanted to go an play as high a grade as possible.

How does Jarred Hales go, sat next to him on the train today. Think he has gone country.

Not giving Portland much of a chance there Yardy Lad, have you heard how their ecruitment is going? Would you be able to give any names? You seem to know the affairs of most clubs in the Port area.

Yes you are correct Duke Hales will play country, not sure where though. (He should of come back to Haven :P after being told to move to Districts by the Magpies.) Wasn't going well at the Magpies this pre season I was told and not really one of Bangers favourite sons either.

Have heard of not one player recruited and just a few players leaving. All quite at Portland for a change, which tells me they have not much in recruits, or all would be on here for everyone to read, if true to form. Have not spoken to anyone from there, since early into the New Year and at that point they had absolutely nothing to report either. Therefore thats why 50/1 and not a chance and probably could even be 100/1 in a true market, from what was said.
