Mate if you have played the game for long enough you get those decisions. If you can not win from 7 / 20 odd you need to blame yourself rather than anybody else . No doubt Sarge got a bad one but what did the spray achieve, i would say f@@k all and wont change the decision. Again deal with what you can control you can not control what the umpire does.

Tasman won on the last over of the day. Waybacks needed 2 runs to win and there was a run out.

Congratulations to all cricket winning teams on the EP. It is very hard to swallow allowing Charlton to win.

I have just got of the phone to a PLFL insider, who I will not name as he will get the sack, but he is disgusted at the lack of organisation for next weekend's supposed Football Pre-Season Carnival.
I am bringing this up to create some discussion and thoughts on what is happeneing. Will it go ahead.
With 5 posssibly 6 days to go until the carnival these are the issues that have arisen.

1. No one knows who is running the carnival. PLFL or Ravendale.
2. No one knows wether it will be over one day or two.
3. No one knows wether it will involve night football.
3. No one knows what teams are competing in the event.
4. The $5,000 sponsorship bandied around has yet to be confirmed. Some conjecture over this amount.
5. The Grand Tasman Hotel supposidly have a presentation dinner after the carnival this Saturday 7pm @ $45 per head.

How can the event be at Ravendale and then everyone goes back to the Tasman for $45 per head meal. Cant ravendale do a meal for $45?

With under a week to go he is worried about the event and completely wipimg his hands of it.
He did say one thing that the umpires were organised and ready to go but that is where the organization ends.

What is going on over there? Didnt they employ extra people to run the PLFL recently?

should we (ses) have given pete a spray when he gave sarge not out to lbw last week when we were sure he was trapped in front then? it's cricket, he was lucky last week and obviously not so this week.

So Blues are the only side on EP that took up the invitation?

So who do Bostons play? Do they not play and get points and go straight thru to the final

Is it Saturday only Ken?

The only reason you would get me out there KWF is if you would like a laugh or a training cone to run around. The Maturity i have, the ability to get much past a stumble when moving i lost along time ago.

On a different note, Zoomer got the gig for Lincoln Districts and Muzza has the Lincoln City job, still looking for a " Lincoln coach ".
Muzza's rep footy experience will be invaluable, whether he can coach remains to be seen, i reckon he'll go alright. Has plenty of quality chairs to move.

Tasmans will be looking strong this weekend, Bostons and Blues to fight it out for whatever last is. Goodluck everyone.

Spoke to a Bostons official this morning as he said there'd be up to 7 u/17's playing seniors(A) each week. That cant be right can it????

doesnt really bother us (blues) if we come last, we are coming down to have a good honest crack against better opposition and get some experience into our younger blokes. Its also a great way for our guys to bond on a weekend away as we have alot of new faces, so instead of writing us off how about patting us on the back for getting organised and travelling 400km to help make a good day of footy hopefully if everything is organised. i think you be very surpised with some of our young kids coming through, they would be more than comfortable playing in pt lincoln.

And if this comp falls through any club keen for a trail games saturday arvo :D

Britt used to play for us but suffered an extremely bad broken leg last year in the last five minutes. Which seems to have ended his career. He is our coach and very keen to hit Lincoln

So it goes for 1 afternoon from 1-6.30pm. And then everyone goes back to a hotel for a $45 meal?

Who is running the event Ken?

perfect opportunity to showcase ravendale night footy and the 'flash' new clubrooms and we put on an afternoons games and then send everyone 5km away to a hotel when they are looking for a meal and plenty of refreshements. Disgrace
This looks te be the first nail in the coffin. The future of ravendale is doomed
