Adelaide Crows: Nwd, Glen, St., S.A.
Cartel: WA, CD, WWT, N.A.
with Port to be stand alone.

A sort of South/East and North/West combination. It has merit in that you could draw a rough geographical line through Adelaide separating the two sides, and allowing a theoretical identity. I'd include Port in the North/West zone though. That'd possibly give them more support overall, but it'd be a near thing with the numbers of Sturt, Glenelg and Norwood supporters out there.
What colours would the N/W cartel wear and what would you call them? Assuming of course the S/E side would remain in the state colours and be called the Adelaide Crows.

I would have looked for something new and different like red, black, white and blue mix the main colours of the clubs up. That is where the Crows have it made using the state Colours it has put Port in a bind. And the marketing Genius who came up with the term the team for all South Australians was smart. Because it is saying hey everyone can go for us.

St.Kilda with some blue thrown in. I was thinking the same.
Shame that the Eagles couldn't have more agreeable colours for this hypothetical entity. Maybe if we called them the Western Warriors it would satisfy all those old Peckers out there?

It's a fair point you make .

Just remember when the port fans start blaming the sanfl.

Port are currently $9 mill in debt.

With $17 mill worth of Assets.

And that's after $16 mill worth of grants from sanfl in the last 4 years.

Simply if it wasn't for the sanfl port would be DEAD.

Oh, welcome back chief. I was wondering where the endless bleating about Port, the SANFL and the AO Redevelopment had gone. I look forward to going round-and-round in circles over the coming weeks.

I suspect Ports fortunes and the SANFL's will improve somewhat when the whole Global Downturn improves back to growth. Advertising numbers are down as well as people in full time employment. When someone loses there full time job yet gains 20 hours casual somewhere else, things like memberships are the first to be struck off the list.

How the SANFL stay solvent however until that happens could be interesting. Despite plenty of talk about the economy improving in Europe its yet to happen yet and Spain and Italy are a real possibility of falling over and extending the crisis much further. I dont think its unreasonable to see from the SANFL, the AFC and the PAFC, a business plan on how they intend to operate in this depressed market?

I guess like you chose not to mention

Port Adelaide are a massive drain on sanfl( re auditors report)
The claim port makes the sanfl $4mill a year is ridiculous(re auditors report)
The claim the sanfl just gives back what port makes them is false.(re auditors report )
The ONEPORT merger has changed nothing
Moving to adelaide oval will cause a serious write down in sanfls current assets.(auditors report )

It all makes sense now.

C'mon Booney, Port Power has been like the home insulation scheme, with one subtle difference.

The home insulation scheme attracted gazillions of people but cost the taxpayer a fortune and was administratively bungled up big time.
Port Power just didn't attract gazillions of people, but still cost the entire league a fortune and was administratively bungled big time.
