Legend status only a matter of time. Do remember Media kicking the crucial winner to get his team across the line a few years back.

Does PL footy really need the Tigers, after last years efforts I'd say no. It's a bye anyway, might as well just call the day off and go fishing!![/quote]

Eags ur format sounds good and would see the best two teams play off for shield. Would make Monday arvo a must see with four very competitive games. Meaning each association leaves after a close game (hopefully). Making them keen to come back next year.

First, I receive nothing for helping out around the footy club, nor would I expect to. Nothing for the League, nor would I expect to. The whole gist of the letter was that this guy is sitting at home, having a crack at people who are working in their free time, unpaid, for the love of their sporting clubs and bodies. They should be applauded for taking times out of their lives to do so. Not have people have a go at them in public media.
When I write for the paper, I do get renumerated, as would all contributors to the paper. This is completely separate to the PLFL.

Second, I received no instruction from the PLFL in regards to Craig Holmes, and if I had, I would have treated the suggestion of no action with the credibility it deserves. I say suggestion, because as a volunteer, they (the PLFL) certainly do not control me... And hey, if Lutz Mueller can shoot his mouth off in the public media, and the PLFL doesn't give a damn about censuring him, then what right would they have to punish me...?

I am not sure what the perfect formula is for Mortlock but the crowd watching the final game on Monday was pitiful Cu the carpark was half empty and most of the crowd in the outer had gone home. It is meant to be the premier game of the weekend
We all knew on Saturday evening who had won the Shield when we saw the Monday draw  .

Theres no point going on about the right format, at least until we know whose playing next year. Although, I think we can all agree that the final match needs to be the Shield decider between 1 & 2.
