Further to this I think the hype around David Earl coaching the emus would pull helpers and supporters back to the club which is very much required at this time.

Vulcan, what are you saying about the current coach? i dont think Brenton Sanderson with Lee Matthews as his offsider would of made a difference with the amount of injurys to key players the Emu's have sustained this year?

No dis-respect intended towards Ben at all, I do believe he has "probably" done as well as one could of expected due to this seasons injury toll. The question I ask u though, how many players have mv actually lost from last seasons finals series?
On David Earl, only my opinion but I just think where the mvfc is at the moment, that he is the perfect coach at a grade level to get mv as a WHOLE club back to where it should be. Professionalism, strength, development, depth, and support base I believe he would bring!

Dont think injuries are the only issue at emus - from what I have heard current coach trying to install some discipline on a bunch of players that are not used to it.
Wouldnt surprise me if this coach steps away from A grade coaching next year

Did the A grade coach at Aldinga get a 2 year deal? did he (sorry im unaware of his actuall name) bring the B grade coach with him too?
It seems Hackham would be more than satisfied with their coach's efforts

The results had nothing to do with Stephen Keam and im sure he was judged just like Farrugia, who i suggest would have had a similar problem. The best coach in the world wouldnt have been able to anything when your left with 5 players from the previous 2 years. This year Marion won 5 games. And when the numbers were crunched we had a differential of +17 goals. So can Stephen Keam coach? Id say in every department Marion has improved so you would have to say he is doing something right.
So i would imagine that Anthony and Aldinga are in the same position. I cant imagine a coach ever goes to a new club expecting a struggle with numbers and no wins. Surely when you are rebuilding, it all comes down to wheather or not he improves the playing side, in the following years, not on 1 bad year. If he takes the job on again, you judge him on improvement of the Senior sides next year.
