And FS, It's amusing how you always feel compelled to give your over-inflated opinion when it comes to issues involving GG.

Done and dusted now, we move on and play in the finals and do our best.

As amusing as you GG blokes all over this place when your winning and when an incident occurs against one of your blokes? yet last few weeks have been nowhere to be seen? I have nothing against GG I have a fair few mates who play out there, just keeping you lads honest thats all  apart from telling BB to not be so arrogant in his post which he was, I was actually defending the GG players involved and the sentance Shane recieved in light of the first post saying he should have been given more

Good to see you follow us so vehemently FS. Things must be as boring as bat poo out at Modbury ;)

Was he asked to attend tribunal before last week? Im sure the website would have it listed somewhere?

My guess is they wont keep a player out of the game until proven guilty. Unfair for a guy to miss matches if it turns out to be innocent after investigation.

I'm not sure the investigation was actually pending until this week wub12... From what I understand it has all happened very rapidly this week which is a good thing I guess... get it over and done with.

Always check the paper to see how many Shane kicked  Hardly boring, with our heritage round and Miss Modbury coming up next week there is plenty happening at MFC. More importantly wins is wat we need to keep 5th spot!

Sorry mate but this isn't correct, I know of a Mawson Lakes player who had a investigation upon him and wasn't allowed to play until it was heard. He was made to miss a week then went up and got found guilty and they gave him a week which he already served.

Same happened with a Broadview player except it was 3 weeks before he got to the tribunual so then they gave him 4 weeks

As far as I understand a player being investigated is free to play until the investigation reaches the tribunal. Once it reaches the tribunal the player is unable to play until the matter is decided by the tribunal.

There is no set rule.
The circumstances of each case are looked at by the League office and/or Tribunal and a decision is then made.

I was so happy when they forfeited the last round, nothing worse than the week before finals having to front against a side with a rep like them and no chance of playing finals. Have played them in the last two years and this rubbish goes on each time. Pretty sure all this happened in the one game against Broadview too didn't it? A broadview guy has been left with a broken jaw I believe? Nobody should have to worry about being king hit or anything dirty when playing football.

I reckon your FF from 4 years ago would argue otherwise! (he got hit near the ball)
Finn would recal this perhaps (Franky says hello ;)) )

Surely they won't be able to field C/D grade teams in Div 8 next year?? I had the "pleasure" of playing against their C grade this year and a handful of them were just thugs!! The majority of their team were half decent blokes but there was a minority of them who were more keen on elbowing/hitting blokes in the head than actually getting the pill. Will be interesting to see if the league cracks down on them.

The offending players have been given their 'marching orders' and the club has been commended by the SAAFL for their quick actions in doing so.
Not something for any club to want happen but it did, they're gone so now we get on with season 2013.
