Few glaring ommissions? McCurry definitely unlucky not to get a starting gig

only had a quick look - Dyl George very lucky.

Would've thought at least one of the Seal boys would've made it.

Does PL footy really need the Tigers, after last years efforts I'd say no. It's a bye anyway, might as well just call the day off and go fishing!![/quote]

I will post one, but jeez...
Bluey's named three of the rising star nominees (Delahay, Montgomerie and Gooder) but couldn't find room for his winner!

Bluey rings me earlier this week and tells me that he has ben Sampson at FF and Ben kayser at CHB. I explain to him that they both spent more time at the other end, and that I thought Sambo had a tremendous year at CHB. Managed to get Sambo dropped and kays on the bench.... :(
Seriously though, McCurry is a star but probably missed too many games, D George has been tremendous evry time they played us.

TOTY are a good talking point though and good luck to the old feller for having a go.

I personally thought Sambo was wasted in the backlines. Many times manning dud oponents in the goal sqaure and having no impact. Very lucky to make it. I know several demon supporters who were mysified by Sampson being in defence for such long periods throughout the season.
Jesse Kemp is an interesting slection media park. Had a queit year but did dominate against an undersized defence on grand final day. Well worth the reported $400 per game on that performance. Frick had an outstanding year at FF always kicking multiple goals in all 15 minor rounds, but went missing in the finals.
Matt James  maybe 10 years ago, Rowsell before him as Rowsell much more consistant.
Has everyone sacked Harry Miller? Made the state country last year.
Larsen Clements not making the starting 22 was a shock . As was Newcombe ;)

I am mystified by the rules of this award. Am I correct in saying that to be elegible you have to have played less than 10 A grade games at the start of the season?*
If so most are not elegible.
*This award has nothing to do with the PLFL

To be fair, D Mont could not have been eligible. The guy has played a fair bit of senior footy in Mid West as a junior.
Not sure about Del Miller but might have been the same issue.

Sambo struggled at FF for the early part of the year and was revitalised at the key CHB posi. Would have been named across HB if I was picking the side. Will run in our top 3 in the McQuillan Holland Medal.

CU (and BTB)...
The rules they went by were less than five games THE SEASON PRIOR, and under 21.
So D Mont played the first few A's last year and injured at Mortlock, didn't play 5 League for the year. ELIGIBLE (Despite as BTB says a fair bit of League as a junior).
Delahay played college footy last year (was Captain of Rostrevor) and only played 3 games League up bush. Eligible. Been playing League since 15 though...

Really confusing.

I think Gooder will have plenty of TOTY's, Mortlocks and the rest in time, but in 2012 Dorza deserved it, and the only other Tiger was Sunny Singh, who was clearly our best in the second half of the year (first half was Dorza central)...
Jayk about equalled Paechy as our third IMO, but with Seal x 2, Snowy Rowsell, McCurry, Johncock x 3, Harry, et al were ahead of him in the League IMO.

But hey Ken, who dares question Ron Bluey Dunn?

Why would you want to recruit more " good footballers" with the list you have? That will mean you will have 30 " good footballers" the 9 A graders playing b grade will soon get over it and move to another club , not to mention the young ones coming through that can't get a game!

We won't stop until we are the Manchester united of this football league.
Do you think we should be banned from recruiting to keep it even or send these players across the road? ;-)
Will you be coming back MP??

The pain you all experienced on grand final day will continue
