The loss to the Roosters really gave the Eagles a clear indication where they are at. As usual against the better teams a lack of pace was again at the forefront. Aaron Day a chief culprit after being clearly in front of his opponent on several occassions was beaten to the ball. Day has only played one good game and must be dropped to the reserves to regain form and be replaced by Cameron Ellis-Yolmen .
Sam Hienjus could not cope with the bigger bodies of the opposition and should be replaced by Borholm who has a stronger body and played by far his best game in the reserves for the Eagles, actually got off the ground a couple of times in the rucking contests.
With Angus Poole and Jarrad Allmond missing, the hunt will be on to find some small running replacements. Jack Muirhead a running and space finding halfback could be in line, has not played a bad game this year in the reserves. Tom Schwarz has been a very consistent hard working onballer, maybe not the running player we need but has a fantastic work ethic.
Would like to see a Grocke (currently injured- when will he be back) or Zac Fitzgerald at full forward and Salter be used as a floating half forward. Due to defensive mis-matches, Culley looked rediculously out of place up forward and was a liability when a match up down back could not be found for him.
The recent form of Glen Dawson in the reserves has been spectacular, if only he could replicate it at league level. An excitement machine, I just hope he gets the confidence to display his talent regularly at league level.
Will Paul Stewart be a possible inclusion after a poor AFL effort. A sequence of dropped and subbed out inconsecutive games might see him relegated.

I wouldn't expect the Eagles to play as poorly as they did in the 2nd half against North. I would anticipate that we would bounce back into the winners list this week. Perhaps Petrenko might be an out this week as he has to be knocking on the door of selection at crowland.

It is good to see the Reserves going well and the likes of Dawson, Muirhead, Schwarz, Borholm should get their opportunities at some stage, hopefully they take them.

Disagree with Day. I didn't see the game against North, but generally think he has been very good this year and has got back to his 2011 form.

Glenelg beat us easily in both games last year. With Central sniffing just outside the 5, this becomes a pretty important game for both clubs. Eagles can't afford to drop this one if they have top 3 aspirations.

Culley did very light work with the injured group and appears very doubtful for this week. Grocke seems to be a long way off resuming, didn't even do light work.
