He said from day one he wouldn't be doing anything until the ASADA report was handed down. The anger at Andy D over all this is severely misplaced.

I wouldn't be so sure jim. I suspect Andy D is doing his best to solve it with the least amount of fuss.

Hird was offered the charge of "Conduct Unbecoming" where if he accepted he'd be the only one charged. He turned it down.

Dont disagree there Hondo but blackmailing isnt the way for the AFL to go about it.
They are basically saying if Hird pleads guilty then the others are not guilty, if he pleads not guilty they are all guilty.
The law just doesnt work like that.
The other 3 are either guilty or not.
They should be offering Hird 12 months and if he he doesnt accept and is found guilty they up to it 2-3 years

It's not blackmail
It's not the law they are dealing with it's the AFL rules and the AFL can interpret them any way they like.
Hird is being a DH and for the good of the club needs to take it.
Make no mistake if Hird keeps this up he will be disgraced and even his own fans will start turn on him.

Is this because he is such a club man?

Seems to me if he was such a club man he would be trying to limit the impact this whole affair will have on the club long term. Smacks of narcissism to me which is not the trait of a club man.

Sky Pilot, they will turn just like your pathetic SANFL club did.

The other 17 clubs are right behind the AFL and the longer it goes the bigger the penalty.
Do you think it might be the AFL that has leaked the stories about what Hird couldve done to lesson the impact on the club, the pressure on Hird hasnt even begun yet. When it comes down to it, it maybe Hird or the club.
Put Hird on one of the boats to PNG

I think we all agree that Hird has to ultimately take responsibility for the mess now around him.
What the AFL want is for him to fess up and say...i sanctioned the injections, its all my doing and it was done without the knowledge of the other 3.
Essendons only defence in this is that they trusted Dank to be on the level.
And thats no defence.

As it stands in the AFL finals I'll support whoever plays against Hawthorn ("Highthorn" of yesteryear) unless it is Essendon - this year's druggies.
(West Coast have, I guess, done their time by now, and are due for a chance to prove they are now clean.)

Multiple players seeking a trade I'd suggest. Essendon contacted players families to inform them of the risks to health surrounding the supplements program. The club have opened themselves up for years of litigation.
