The comments that just state 'I hate it' smacks of the behavior of a small child. Get over yourself, the previous layout was the original set up of the website around 8 years ago. Very few websites would look exactly the same in the same period of time.


Either suggest sensible ideas to the relevant people and embrace what it has become or shut up, say nothing and deal with it!

You are whinging about something that is free for you to use. Despite the ever increasing cost of maintaining the webspace needed to keep this place running, no one has been asked to cotribute towards it by membership fee.

Does anyone email Facebook to tell them their changes are crap?

So I'm not quite sure why you all think you have the right to dictate what this page should look like here or tell our I.T nerd guru that a page he's spent hundreds of hours on for YOUR benefit is crap - because you don't have that right. DIss has been open enough to take what constructive feedback he has on so that EVERYONE can enjoy this site.

and what pisses me off even more is that most of the people whinging barely have 1000 posts to their name, or have only recently joined. You know what? Try looking at the same page for 8 friggin years and then getting used to a new page, like several of us are.

Seriously, unless you can all be constructive and make suggestions as what you'd like to see, I'll help Diss hold the ******* door open...

Yeah you are right, and i apologise, i should've been better with what i wrote, and saying i hate it was excessive. It's not like i've had any issues navigating through the pages or posting etc, just taking time to adjust.

FWIW I do like the right hand panel and the "Like" option.

Might have been overboard but writing "I hate this new safooty layout!!" really opens you up for some sort of angsty reply. Something like " i understand change is a natural progression, just takes time to adjust" would be far better.

I also like the way you can search for members and can jump straight to sub-sections eg SAAFL instead of clicking through to get there.

People will get used to the details being on the right hand side. Maybe the "poster" is too small on the left but I think it's fine. Give it a bit of time and things will seem more natural.

I love being able to head into a section and see the last replies just in that section - as well as the last replies on the whole of the forum on the front page.

yes this happened a lot last year with me for about 8 months. Re building the townhouses next door. Because the sun is up at 445am in Brisbane (when its December time) the builders would turn up at 4, stand around swearing at each other, then the generators started at 445-5am. Music would be so loud also.
