How long will Botha keep his spot? Average 16 with the bat and 48 with the ball in his preferred format. His shield season was average last season inflated with 5 wickets in the last game. Play Zampa instead.

Alex Ross must be lucky to keep getting a game, when was the last time he made any runs? Even in grade cricket?

Get Trav Head and Kelvin Smith in now both going to be guns!

If they ban Botha, then they have to act on Murali in the Big Bash league. He has got away with it for 18 years because the ICC were too scared of the Asian block.

Botha will be fine, they will just say he cant bowl a certain delivery. Bowled well in a couple of games but the last couple of decks they played on were not good for spinners (Cameron White v Nathan Lyon)

Taking Hughes and Ferg out of the middle order hurt us big time as we have no batting depth. Both will be back playing shield cricket this year so it should give us a decent batting line up. Klinger, Hughes, Cooper, Ferg, McDonald and with Trav Head, Kelvin Smith, Jake Brown fighting for spots.

Good to see Cooper string a few scores together also, hopefully can take that into the shield games!

Anyone else find it interesting that WA signed Simon Katich just to play OD cricket for them this season?

Like a few of the commentators said they probably would've been best just blooding a young guy.

Only if they don't care so much for winning games.

YVONNE Sampson has told of her embarrassment after being caught unawares simulating a sex act while in the crowd at the cricket.

But at least someone has finally brought some excitment to state cricket.

The Channel Nine sports presenter was at North Sydney Oval last week watching Queensland play against Victoria when the cameras focused on her in between deliveries.

She was in the middle of an animated conversation, busily gesturing to the two friends on either side of her.

He's hit 3 big 100's in his last 4 innings! I agree with Jim he is in red hot form!

Having said that, on a side note, North Sydney Oval is a joke of a ground to play first class cricket on! How can our best state players be put on a postage stamp to over inflate averages and make a mockery of bowling attacks?
