St Kilda 2013

Talk on the national game

I'm hearing that a Montagna/Dal Santo trade package could be on the cards.

Scott Watters is trying to bring about a much-needed reinvigoration of the Saint's list but if he doesn't strike gold on a deal involving these blokes he'll be goneski. He certainly can't afford to waste it on bringing in more nondescript West Australians who he's familiar with from his WAFL coaching days (e.g. Tom Lee and Trent Dennis-Lane).

Wow...

Thought it may have been a possibility at the end of the season, but not in November.

They were going to do it after the season but this is a clever ruse from the AFL media people to keep AFL on the back page during a quiet week.

Nathan Bassett

Strange timing, I would imagine they would need a person who has coached in the AFL before. Maybe John Worsfold?

Saints going from bad to worse.

Off loading players that they should keep, sacking a coach in November. They're a laughing stock.

Even if you were an assistant looking to take the next step you wouldn't possibly look at the role, would you?

Yeah it was Watters' fault that Thomas and Lyon and Pelchen didn't pick any kids for years. Laughing stock.

The Saints had the chance to change their shizen culture, get rid of the trouble makers and have a coach willing to standard up to some of the older blokes and lead the younger blokes in the right direction. They have f*cked up royally, effectively writting off the 2014 season.
